Internet of Things

The Internet of Everything was listed as one of the new trends of 2014 by Gartner.

Things that can communicate without human interaction using IP connectivity (equipment not designed for direct human intervention).

Machine to machine (M2M) interactions and communications.

Human interaction may be required initially, then machine information is then gathered on premise or in the cloud to provide an end result.

IT departments are still trying to catch up with supporting BYOD devices on the network and the provision of guest access in a more informed way, to maximise the audience and provide business value. Bringing together people, process, data and things to be more effective.

The need for infrastructure automation will continue to increase across the network as networks grow in complexity. Can your network cater for the Internet of Things, is it at full capacity?
